The Civility Pledge Team of the United As Neighbors group met on September 27, to finalize a version of the Civility Pledge. We have gathered input from more than a dozen participants to refine the pledge. It was agreed to submit the pledge to the Newberg Graphic for an upcoming entry in the Editorial section of the Newspaper.

We had a booth at the Old Fashion Festival to bring awareness to our projects. Approximately 150 people expressed either support for the project or were interested in what it was about. There were some people who expressed concern that the group might have some sort of hidden agenda (either from the left or right) and that they were not interested in participating.
